Our Story
Setting the standard for Early Education in Viera.
Viera Children's Academy holds the distinction of being the first Preschool and Daycare in Viera. Florence and Devon Hunter's vision was to open Viera Children's Academy to set the standard for early education in a growing community. Viera started with just a few homes and businesses to becoming the hub of Brevard County and home to the county courthouse, Brevard County Schoolboard and Viera Hospital. The picture above was taken before opening the doors to welcome our first children.
In March 2019 Wajiha & Irfan Khan became the new owners of Viera Children's Academy. Wajiha's spirit, innovation and in-depth knowledge of early childhood education has taken VCA to the highest levels of quality care and education for all our VCA children. Born and raised in Canada, Wajiha has had the privilege to live and work internationally and learn the true meaning of quality childcare.
Wajiha is a result driven administrator with a track record of successfully developing many organizations across multiple industries. She truly believes in training the right people for the right positions and runs her program by putting her “Aces in their Places”. Not everyone is built with the capability to effectively teach and nurture young children. Wajiha has been successful in recognizing the right gems for her school and providing them with the best training possible to do their jobs. At Viera, she is focused on building a trusting partnership with parents and staff regarding the health, safety, and development of our young children. She believes in making sure her staff are equipped with all the necessary tools they need to do their job at the highest levels.
Wajiha’s purpose in children’s education is to allow every child to become an independent and creative thinker. She leads a team of 40+ teachers in delivering the highest quality curriculum. As a mother of five high functioning young adults, Wajiha brings a passion for providing care that nurtures social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
VCA will grow and gain greater visibility and a higher level of recognition as a childcare leader in the Viera community. We will gain trust by listening to the needs and requests of our parents, our clients and the community. We strive to set new standards for Viera Children's Academy by only offering the highest quality products, technology, facilities and staff which will take VCA forward for years to come.
